I was born in Siena (Italy) in 1982. I received my M. Eng. degree in Computer Engineering in 2007 from the University of Siena. On February 2011 I obtained the Ph.D. degree on Information Engineering with curriculum in Automation and Control from the same University. In 2011 I have been with the Dept. of Mechanical and Structural Engineering of the University of Trento, Italy. In October 2011 I joined the Dynamical Systems, Control and Optimization (DYSCO) research unit at IMT Institute for Advanced Studies Lucca. In 2011 I also co-founded ODYS, the first spin-off company of IMT Lucca. For more information please visit:
My main research interests are in control of dynamical systems, model predictive control, optimization, stochastic control, networked control systems and hybrid systems, with applications to automotive, aerospace and energy systems.
